These ones was doozies. That last panel in particular.
Piglet page 102. Drew the fuck out of some oceans
Piglet page 101. Pretty happy with this one. They never showed king kong being lowered into the boat in any version I’ve seen and It seemed like a missed opportunity to me.
Piglet page 100. Pretty exciting to be that far in my first novel
Piglet page 99. I’m worried those last two panels are a bit simple, but I guess they don’t really need anything more. I suppose I should’ve tried to add the smoke rising in that penultimate one. Maybe something to do after I’m done with the whole book.
Piglet page 98
I’ve been doing some more lettering work for a project with my buddy Ian. I had to do a big splashy sound effect for a musket shot, so here’s the final with the hideous process below it.
Thank god for photoshop, because while I may have a decent understanding of how to construct letters and text, I’m a pretty bad calligrapher. Particularly with a brush- that shit is cray.
I’m still a little unsure about that rock spire in panel two. Not that I have any intention of redrawing that shit.
Nother piglet page. Last friday my girlfriend had a tonsillectomy, so it’s hard to find time to work as I’m mostly playing nurse these days.
That cliff face turned out nicely, and I was surprised at how little of a struggle it was to make that panel happen.
