I think I was in the library burning time on wikipedia when I first learned that otter shit is often called “spraint”. I’m not positive if this a portmanteau of paint and spray but I assume it is. Something about that simultaneously fills my mouth with laughter and vomit.   I always mark it off in my head when I manage to make a strip that isn’t just a stupid dick or sex joke. This one is scat, so it probably won’t be able to affect that tally. Oh well. Also, I’m really proud of the way the otter’s face looks in the last panel, he’s just so happy.
